Girls only plz??????

Ok well I'm trying to be shallow but I like a guy that is sorta my type bet he is a bit not good looking and I do like him despite his looks. And anyways I just have some pet peeves that he would do. But to the point we talk to each other but only talk about school or our math homework and bio homework. It sucks cuz idk if he even likes me, and I wish I knew. Ummmm....... I need some advice. Oh and I'm really shy and I couldn't go up to tell him that I like him. So any advice????????
