Kill Maggots In Washing Machine?

I brought a washing Machine second hand, and only recently have i come to notice alot of flies in the basin of it! My Partners mum reckons i may have maggots in the system somewhere. Does anyone know a way of cleaning it all out to get raid them ..? xx
