Why does god want everything good and bad?

Human beings create the division between good and evil through their actions. Rich and poor exists because of a lack of equality, and inaction against tyrants. War has caused a lot of hurt, but is war necessary? If the answer is no, and war and famine, fear and hatred can all be avoided, then there is your proof that it is all in mankind's hands.
